Associated Electric Cooperative Inc. recognized employees for their years of service during the wholesale power supplier's annual Excel employee recognition ceremony April 14 at its New Madrid Power Plant in southeast Missouri.

At the Thomas Hill Energy Center, yard equipment operator Larry L. Howard is celebrating 35 years with the cooperative, which is owned by and provides wholesale power to six regional and 51 local electric cooperative systems in Missouri, northeast Oklahoma and southeast Iowa.

Marking 30 years with the cooperative is Thomas O. Kitchen, shift supervisor at Thomas Hill.

Power plant employees marking 25 years of service with AECI are William E. Alexander and Phillip W. Bender, yard equipment operators; Martin G. Binder, journeyman equipment repairman/mechanic; John J. Bruno, journeyman electrician specialist; Lucien L. Cox II, yard equipment operator; Byron N. Crutcher, assistant plant chemist; Michael C. Davis, journeyman mechanic; Kent W. Dunwoody, senior human resources coordinator; Garry J. Hammes, assistant control room operator with training; Randy L. Harris, journeyman mechanic; Dennis A. Johannaber, yard equipment operator; Greg L. Kreek, electrical/instrumentation planner; Clifford D. Lovland, yard equipment operator; Michael S. Massey, control room operator with training; T. Lavern Milhollin, custodian; Scott L. Padgett, journeyman instrumentation technician; Phillip E. Pagliai, yard equipment operator; Terry J. Smith, journeyman instrumentation technician specialist; Gary W. Turner, warehouseman; Richard L. Wood, journeyman machinist/mechanic; Steven P. Wright, network administrator; and Greg K. Wybert, control room operator with training.
