SPRINGFIELD, MO -- Associated Electric Cooperative Inc. recognized employees for their years of service during the wholesale power supplier's annual employee Excel awards ceremony April 14 at its New Madrid Power Plant in southeast Missouri.

At its Headquarters in Springfield, Purchasing Supervisor Dan A. Upp and Staff Assistant Angie D. Vire are celebrating 30 years with the cooperative, which is owned by and provides wholesale power to six regional and 51 local electric cooperative systems in Missouri, northeast Oklahoma and southeast Iowa.

Headquarters employees marking 25 years of service with AECI are Roderick J. Dubree, system operator; Michael E. King, manager of internal audit; Charles S. Means, senior regulatory policy analyst; Ronald H. Murphy, manager, technical services; Clarence I. Thompson, building services maintainer; and Thomas E. Uffmann, senior systems analyst.

Associated Electric Cooperative Inc. is owned by and provides wholesale power to six regional and 51 local electric cooperative systems in Missouri, northeast Oklahoma and southeast Iowa that serve more than 800,000 customers.
